ASP commemorates the Centenary of the 1911 – 1914 Australasian Antarctic Expedition

Looming far in the distance was the end of the expedition the final Antarctic destination – the “Hut”. In the visible distance however, lay many difficulties: a shortage of food, treacherous crevasses underfoot and inclement weather
before the men could collect the mail and rejoice in news it brought them.
