REPORT (PART 4) OF THE GERMAN POSTMASTER, RABAUL 1914 (ASP V3N6)

ASP expected our saga of the 1914 invasion of German New Guinea, seen through the eyes of Carl Weller, Postmaster of German colonies in New Guinea and the Pacific, to conclude last issue. But we found more in Weller’s report than anticipated – then neglected to amend our promise of an end to the story in the introduction. It seems we have two more episodes up our sleeves; the last is even more fascinating than this, with the details we foreshadowed of “where the stamps went”! None of it previously published in a commercial stamp magazine.
