Volume 5 Issue 7

In this issue

Celebrating the Centenary of the start of Sir Douglas Mawson’s epic exploratory journey to Antarctica, commencing December 2, 1911, sailing from Hobart, was an easy task to solve. We realised we could marry two classic images. One was of the Aurora as seen through an ice cave, the other of Mawson himself! Add a little digital magic to colourise the black-and-white originals and there you have it – a cover to rival our previous classic covers to celebrate Scott and Amundsen.
